How to Turn Seaweed into Plastic

    Plastic pollution in our ocean is a huge problem. Plastic can't decompose, it's made of poisonous oil, and we use millions of tons each year. However, scientists are making new materials to replace plastic, take seaweed plastic as an example. Companies like Sway basically take the slime of certain seaweed types, powder it and then reliquefy it to make a decomposable plastic bag. The seaweed plastic tastes bad but eating it won't harm you like a plastic bag does. You may think that gathering seaweed is bad, but seaweed grows fast, it's grown on farms, and farms help new habitats to be made as well as letting fishers catch more because of all the extra fish around the seaweed farms.
