Fish is becoming more and more popular by the day, so some people decided to farm fish instead of catching it. These farms can include many things, so today I'll take you on a tour of fish farms, marine fish farms to be precise.
Fish farms in the ocean have nets where the fish grow, get fed, and get harvested. But why stop there? Some farms have sea cucumbers or sea urchins in a net under the fish net so they can eat the fish waste. In a marine farm you also might find mussels or seaweed growing on floating ropes.
Environmental Harm
These farms are not only convenient, but they are more eco-friendly than fishing. Some downsides though are that sometimes the fish escape and become invasive, and the fish in the ocean have a prettier life than those on crowded farms.
